Job description

As a senior or lead data analyst on the Commercial Lines Product Development’s Telematics team, you’ll shape the future of commercial auto insurance by building and maintaining dashboards and reporting. In this role, you’ll research topics related to the commercial telematics market. Progressive strives to be an industry leader in telematics in the commercial lines space, and we’re focused on leveraging that position to accelerate growth and profitability. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights that support key strategic initiatives, including expansion into Fleet & Specialty Programs (FSP). You’ll also grow our dashcam program, broader use of telematics data in underwriting, and other emerging opportunities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of five years of analytical work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field of study and a minimum of three years analytical work experience.

Preferred skills

  • Intermediate to advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Proven aptitude for communicating insights and visualizations using data analysis reporting tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical partners.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong aptitude for learning new tools and technologies.
