Artificial Intelligence Software as a Service Cloud Computing Software Quality Software Engineering Reliability of Systems Technical Debt Software Performance

Job description

As our VP of Engineering, you will have a seat on the Executive team, partnering closely with the VP of Product, CEO, and additional Executive Team members to shape our long-term technology vision, co-create the product roadmap, and lead Feathr’s company-wide AI transformation.

This is an opportunity to lead a talented team of 15 (11 Engineers and 4 Tech Leads), leave a lasting impact on our platform, our culture, and the customers we serve.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Serve as a strategic peer to executive leadership. You will translate business goals and customer needs into an ambitious, scalable technology strategy, balancing feature innovation with codebase reliability and technical health.
  • We’ve already deployed Claude company-wide. You will turn tool access into strategic capability by establishing standards, governance, and workflows that measurably elevate engineering velocity, code quality, and developer experience.
  • Mentor and elevate our Tech Leads and Engineers. You will establish career progression pathways, performance standards, and org structures for a team eager for professional growth.
  • Establish high standards for system reliability, performance, and defect reduction. You’ll build a clear allocation model between roadmap delivery, technical debt, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Align engineering investments with key business metrics (uptime, customer satisfaction, defect rates, and operational efficiency). Serve as the technical voice to executive leadership, cross-functional partners, and key customers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering leadership experience (scaling teams through product-maturity phases and growth transitions) alongside 10+ years of formal software development experience.
  • Proven success developing and coaching team members, building management layers, and shaping high-performing, growth-oriented engineering cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience driving the rollout, adoption, and governance of modern AI coding tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot).
  • Deep knowledge of modern SaaS architecture, cloud infrastructure, and software performance optimization in an established codebase.
  • Strong commercial judgment. Knowing when to move fast, when to push for perfection, and how to connect engineering decisions directly to customer value.
  • B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred; MarTech, Adtech, or adjacent verticals a huge plus.
