Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 12-15 years of experience in COBOL-based mainframe development and strong expertise in FIS Core Banking Systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RM, GN, IM, AM, and SC modules and will be responsible for developing, supporting, troubleshooting, and managing core banking applications., * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL.

Develop and implement solutions following established SDLC methodologies.
Provide expert-level technical support for FIS Core Banking Systems, including RM, GN, IM, AM, and SC.
Analyze and resolve production incidents and application issues using a proactive ownership approach.
Troubleshoot complex technical problems and identify root causes and appropriate solutions.
Work closely with business users, technical teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Direct and oversee technical teams throughout project lifecycles when required.
Quickly adapt priorities based on changing business and project needs.
Present technical findings, analysis, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Maintain strong attention to detail, documentation, and organizational standards.

Requirements

12-15 years of Mainframe development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with:
COBOL
CICS
DB2
JCL
Extensive experience with FIS Core Banking Systems, including:
RM
GN
IM
AM
SC
Proven experience in application troubleshooting, incident resolution, and production support.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and enterprise application development.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong presentation, documentation, and organizational skills.
Experience leading or overseeing technical teams through project lifecycles., * Experience working within the credit union or banking industry.
Experience supporting core banking applications in production environments.
Strong understanding of financial services business processes.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
