Job description
- Provide hands-on technical support to employees for computers, software, accounts, printers, networks, and other technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows computers and laptops.
- Provide advanced support for Microsoft products and applications.
- Work proficiently with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, and related Microsoft applications.
- Provide support for Adobe products, including Adobe Acrobat, PDF files, Adobe Reader, and other commonly used Adobe applications.
- Reset and troubleshoot user passwords, accounts, and access credentials.
- Assist with account unlocks, password resets, and user-access issues.
- Set up new employee computers, accounts, software, and equipment.
- Remove or disable system access when employees leave the company.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft and Adobe application errors and configuration issues.
- Install, update, configure, and maintain software applications.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, monitors, peripherals, and other computer equipment.
- Troubleshoot basic network, internet, Wi-Fi, and connectivity problems.
- Assist employees with technical questions and provide clear instructions.
- Manage and prioritize multiple IT support requests at the same time.
- Maintain accurate records of IT equipment, software, users, and technical issues.
- Assist with software licensing and technology asset management.
- Work with outside vendors and technology providers when necessary.
- Assist with system updates, backups, security procedures, and technology upgrades.
- Research technical problems and identify effective solutions.
- Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and troubleshooting solutions.
- Help ensure company technology remains secure, functional, and up to date.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly proficient and dependable IT Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support throughout our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on computer skills and be comfortable troubleshooting, configuring, resetting, and maintaining technology systems.
This position requires someone who is proficient with Microsoft and Adobe products, AI, understands common computer and software issues, and can quickly assist employees with technical problems. The successful candidate should be a strong problem solver who can work independently, manage multiple IT requests, and find solutions without constant supervision., * Proven proficiency with Microsoft products and applications.
- Proven proficiency with Adobe products, particularly Adobe Acrobat and PDF tools.
- Strong understanding of Windows computers and operating systems.
- Strong understanding of basic computer hardware and software.
- Ability to confidently troubleshoot and resolve common computer problems.
- Ability to perform password resets, account resets, account unlocks, and user-access troubleshooting.
- Experience setting up and configuring computers and user workstations.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of networking, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and peripherals.
- Ability to install, update, configure, and troubleshoot software.
- Ability to manage multiple IT issues and requests simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical employees.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems.
- Ability to learn and support new software and technology.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience managing user accounts and permissions.
- Experience with IT help-desk or ticketing systems.
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience managing company computers and IT equipment.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or other relevant IT certifications.
What We’re Looking For
We need an IT Specialist who is proficient, hands-on, and capable of solving problems independently.
This is not a position for someone who only has basic familiarity with computers. The successful candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting real-world technical issues, working within Microsoft and Adobe environments, performing password and account resets, configuring computers, assisting employees, and resolving problems efficiently.
The ideal candidate is the person employees can rely on when their computer, software, account, or technology isn’t working. You should be resourceful, patient, technically capable, and willing to research a problem and find the right solution.
