Job description
- Participate as a member of a software development team.
- Develop and implement software components based on established designs.
- Develop complex application components and enterprise solutions.
- Contribute to software design and technical solution development.
- Perform code refactoring and modernization, particularly in Unix and Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Unix/Linux code refactoring.
- Participate in and potentially lead code reviews.
- Design, execute, and document unit tests.
- Apply technical knowledge to maintain and enhance software applications.
- Work with company and third-party technologies to implement software solutions.
- Review and interpret Coverity reports and support vulnerability remediation.
- Apply modern software configuration management and development methodologies.
- Work with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub.
- Collaborate with development teams and provide technical guidance as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of application development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with code refactoring.
- Strong experience with Unix and Linux development environments.
- Experience with SQL scripting.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Experience with GitHub.
- Experience with Coverity or similar static code analysis/vulnerability assessment tools.
- Experience designing and executing unit tests.
- Experience participating in code reviews.
- Knowledge of internet, web application, and network security techniques.
- Experience working with multiple development platforms such as Windows, Unix, Linux, and AWS.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Unix-to-Linux application or code migration.
- Experience interpreting and remediating vulnerabilities identified through Coverity reports.
- Knowledge of modern software development and configuration management methodologies.
- Experience with AI and agent development concepts.
- Security certifications such as CISSP or CCNA are a plus.
