Job description
We’re hiring a Weekend PHP Counselor to support our Partial Hospitalization Program on Saturdays and Sundays (9 AM-2 PM group hours). This is a great opportunity for licensed professionals who want a consistent weekend role and are passionate about helping others.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct intake assessments and evaluate client needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- Provide case management support including referrals for housing, employment, and legal services
- Support relapse prevention and discharge planning
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EHR
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure quality care delivery
Requirements
- Active license: CSAC, CSAC-Supervisee, MSW, MSed, LPC, or LCSW (Virginia)
- 2 years of experience in addiction counseling, behavioral health, or case management
- Ability to work both Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Preferred
- Experience in PHP or IOP level of care
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed care
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, * Do you currently hold an active CSAC, MSW, MSed, LPC, or LCSW license in Virginia?
- Are you available to work on-site both Saturday and Sunday between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM?
- Do you have at least 1 year of experience in addiction or behavioral health counseling?, * Master’s (Preferred)
Experience:
- Substance Abuse Counselor : 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor License (Required)
- CSAC, LCSW, LPC, MSW, MSed (Required)
Ability to Commute:
- Norfolk, VA 23513 (Required)
