Senior Director, Software Engineering

Experteer Overview In this role you lead a global, distributed engineering organization to deliver MarTech, AdTech, and customer-focused platforms. You own engineering strategy, architecture, and execution across a large portfolio, partnering with product management and design to drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll champion Generative AI across the full SDLC, enabling AI-enabled delivery at scale while maintaining reliability and performance. You’ll influence executive stakeholders and shape a durable, modern product engineering culture. Compensation / Benefits * Lead a globally distributed engineering organization under the Product Operating Model, accountable for product and platform outcomes across MarTech and AdTech * Build empowered teams solving business problems end-to-end from discovery to delivery and continuous improvement * Recruit and develop top engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and learning * Establish engineering standards, rhythms, and accountability aligned to business outcomes * Own end-to-end development for the MarTech and AdTech portfolio globally, ensuring quality, reliability, and speed * Partner with Product Management and Product Design in a one-team model to solve meaningful problems * Drive measurable outcomes including business impact, system reliability, performance, and consumer experience * Define and evolve technical strategy, architecture, and practices for scalable, resilient, and secure platforms * Balance build vs. buy decisions with a long-term perspective to ensure durability and operability * Lead Generative AI adoption across the full SDLC and product portfolio, enabling AI-enabled delivery and decisioning at scale * Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior leaders and translate technical concepts into business implications * Communicate strategy, risks, and investment needs to executives with clarity and credibility * Influence enterprise technology direction and align with business strategy and architecture Tasks * 15+ years of progressive engineering experience with senior leadership roles * 5+ years leading engineering orgs within a Product Operating Model or similar * 5+ years guiding organizational transformation and modernization at scale * 10+ years building and scaling high-performing engineering teams including managers and tech leads * Strong collaboration with Product Management and Product Design in empowered teams * Deep expertise in modern software architecture, distributed systems, and platform engineering * Proficiency in cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence * Track record delivering enterprise-scale platforms, ideally in MarTech/AdTech and consumer digital products * Demonstrated GenAI leadership with measurable business impact; familiarity with AI/ML platforms, LLM integration, RAG, and governance for scalable AI deployment * Ability to communicate complex technical topics to executives; calm, clear leadership under pressure * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; advanced degree preferred Key requirements * medical benefits * financial benefits * annual incentive (50% reference) * long-term incentive (20% reference) * global opportunities * agile work environment
