Anderson University’s Guest and Auxiliary Services invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as Director of Event and Technology Support. The Director of Event and Technology Support provides hands-on leadership for the planning and execution of events for university departments, student organizations, and external community partners. This position oversees events from initial planning through completion, ensuring appropriate staffing, facilities, resources, and technology are in place to provide a successful and welcoming experience. Approximately 30% of the position focuses on audiovisual (AV) and event technology, ensuring equipment is properly selected, configured, tested, and ready for each event, including troubleshooting audio and visual systems, supporting student AV technicians, recommending equipment upgrades, maintaining technology procedures, and staying current with emerging AV solutions. The Director will hire, train, schedule, supervise, and develop student employees; coordinate with campus partners, vendors, and clients; serve as the primary point of contact and on-site lead for assigned events; and translate client needs into practical event, staffing, facility, and technology plans while troubleshooting logistical and technical challenges in real time. After each event, the Director will evaluate completed events and identify opportunities to enhance service, efficiency, safety, and overall event experience.

Requirements

Candidates should have demonstrated experience in AV, event technology, event operations, event production, or a related field, with 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience preferred. Supervisory experience, a bachelor’s degree, and experience in higher education, hospitality, live production, performing arts, or a comparable environment are preferred. Familiarity with 25Live or similar event scheduling software and proficiency with Microsoft Office are also preferred. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and customer-service skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to collaboration, excellence, and Anderson University’s Christ-centered mission and values is essential.
