Join our dynamic team as a Field Engineer specializing in Battery Energy Storage systems! Header: Responsibilities
- Lead on-site installation and commissioning activities for battery energy storage systems, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety standards.
- Develop detailed system designs using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other CAD software, including schematics and layout drawings for high-voltage electrical systems.
- Perform system analysis using MATLAB and power system analysis tools to optimize performance and reliability of energy storage solutions.
- Implement and verify compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Safety Code), IEEE standards, and local electrical codes during all phases of project execution.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on AC/DC electrical systems, power electronics circuits, and power system protection devices to resolve operational issues swiftly.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Support construction activities by providing technical guidance on systems engineering, mechanical integration, GIS mapping, and construction practices related to utility electrical systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with project scheduling and management within the energy or utility sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, MATLAB, and other CAD software for system design and schematics development.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, power distribution engineering, and power electronics circuit design.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Safety Code), IEEE standards implementation, and electrical building codes.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage AC/DC electrical systems in utility or public utility environments.
- Ability to perform power system analysis including protection coordination and system reliability assessments.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to energy storage system integration and construction processes.
- Experience working with GIS mapping tools for site planning and system layout visualization.
- Proven troubleshooting skills in complex electrical systems; ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients on technical matters.
