Senior Transmission Line Engineer - (California Licensed Engineer)

Seeking a California-licensed Professional Engineer to lead overhead transmission line design projects. The ideal candidate will have strong PLS-CADD experience, technical leadership skills, and expertise designing high-voltage transmission systems (69kV-500kV)., * Design and lead overhead transmission line projects using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER.

• Perform route design, structure spotting, sag-tension, clearance, and constructability analyses.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction packages.
• Ensure compliance with NESC, California GO 95, IEEE, ASCE, OSHA, and utility standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership and QA/QC.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or related Engineering.
• Active California PE license.
• 7+ years of overhead transmission line design experience.
• Strong proficiency with PLS-CADD and knowledge of PLS-POLE and/or PLS-TOWER.
• Experience with high-voltage transmission systems (69kV-500kV).

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of transmission engineering experience.
• Experience supporting California utilities (PG&E, SCE, SDG&E, LADWP, SMUD).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
• Background as an Engineer of Record, Technical Lead, or Project Engineer.
