Senior Network Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you design, implement, and support enterprise network services across multiple sites, covering LAN/WAN, wireless, VoIP, virtualization, and storage. You provide advanced troubleshooting, guidance, and change-management support to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable network operations. You will lead and participate in projects, incident response, and documentation efforts to improve resiliency and IT security. Compensation / Benefits * Design, administer, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network services across sites * Manage routers, switches, and related infrastructure lifecycle and patching * Administer and optimize firewall services (rule management, policy validation) * Lead root-cause analysis and resolve performance, availability, and connectivity issues * Administer, support, and troubleshoot wireless network services * Provide senior escalation, mentoring, and guidance to Helpdesk and infrastructure teams * Lead or participate in network projects, upgrades, incident response, and change-management planning * Create, maintain, and review network documentation, diagrams, standards, and procedures * Collaborate with Infrastructure, IT Security, Laboratory Operations, and stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure services * Recommend improvements to architecture, monitoring, and operational processes * Administer and optimize VoIP systems and provide escalation support Tasks * Minimum seven years of progressive experience in enterprise network infrastructure, firewall services, virtualization, and storage * Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls, enterprise routing and switching, wireless networking, and multi-site environments * CCNA, Network+ or equivalent required; CCNP, Palo Alto, VMware, Microsoft Azure, or Citrix certifications strongly preferred * Experience with VMware, Citrix, PURE Storage, enterprise wireless platforms, and highly available infrastructure preferred * Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure including Microsoft Azure and cloud-hosted workloads preferred * Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), cybersecurity technologies, and data protection platforms preferred * Demonstrated ability to lead technical troubleshooting, document root cause, and communicate status to stakeholders * Experience in regulated or high-availability environments and strong change-management/documentation skills * A bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Networking or related field preferred; HS diploma/GED required Key requirements *
