Software Applications Computing Platforms Cyber Security Expertise in Genetec Systems Software Systems Data Logging Tools for Reporting

Job description

JG Security is an energy services company providing security operations support to construction job sites. We’re hiring a SOC Operator to run our command center - this is a technology and monitoring role, not a patrol or on-site guard position. You’ll spend your shift across multiple screens, software systems, and phone lines, so this role is best suited for someone who’s comfortable living in front of a computer, not walking a beat.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor live video feeds across multiple VMS (video management system) platforms simultaneously, along with alarms and alerts
  • Respond to incidents by dispatching the appropriate personnel and documenting everything in our ERP system
  • Run quality control checks on guards in field; review daily reports
  • Communicate with field security personnel and, when needed, law enforcement, by phone and radio
  • Learn and maintain proficiency in our ERP platform for incident logging and reporting

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills - comfortable navigating and multitasking across several software applications and monitor displays at once
  • Ability to learn new software platforms quickly (VMS, CRM/ERP, ticketing/reporting tools)
  • Clear, professional phone and written communication
  • Able to work independently and make sound decisions without direct supervision
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with video management software (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar)
  • Prior SOC, GSOC, dispatch, or 911/emergency communications experience
  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems

Benefits & conditions

Pulled from the full job description

  • Parental leave
  • Paid time off, Schedule The SOC operates 24/7 in 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM). Shifts are fixed, not rotating - you’ll be assigned a dedicated day or night shift. Please confirm your availability matches before applying.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off
  • Parental leave
