Software Developer

We are looking for a Software Developer to join our organization in Southern California in a Long-term Contract role. This position supports enterprise integration initiatives by designing, developing, and maintaining secure API solutions across on-premises and cloud-connected environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with middleware and microservices, along with a strong ability to troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams. This is an onsite opportunity requiring presence four days per week and occasional limited travel.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain API-based integrations that connect business-critical applications across multiple platforms and environments.

• Develop and support services using DataPower and related integration technologies to enable secure and reliable system communication.

• Apply OAuth2 and other API security standards to protect services and ensure compliance with enterprise security expectations.

• Investigate production incidents, resolve technical issues, and provide ongoing support to maintain stable application performance.

• Partner with security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver integration solutions that align with operational and technical requirements.

• Contribute to hybrid integration architecture spanning cloud and on-premises systems, with attention to scalability and maintainability.

• Manage day-to-day support activities effectively while identifying opportunities to improve service quality and team operations.

• Support major business applications used by functions such as finance, sales, manufacturing, warranty, and parts across the enterprise.

Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.

• 2-5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing integration or API solutions in enterprise environments.

• Practical knowledge of DataPower Gateway, REST APIs, microservices architecture, and API security frameworks such as OAuth2.

• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, hybrid environments, and modern delivery practices including CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience providing application support and troubleshooting in collaboration with cross-functional technical teams.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts, system availability expectations, and scalable solution design.

• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders, encourage collaboration, and contribute to high-quality service delivery.

• Automotive industry technology experience and awareness of data privacy and regulatory considerations are preferred. Technology Doesn’t Change the World, People Do.®
