Join a team focused on driving the successful delivery of cloud-based technology solutions that power critical business capabilities. As a Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will play a key role in aligning strategy, planning, and execution across a complex Agile Release Train (ART), helping teams deliver meaningful outcomes while supporting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to work closely with Product and Technology leaders, influence organizational agility, and help teams deliver value at scale., As the Release Train Engineer, you will serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator for the Agile Release Train (ART). You will partner with business and technology leaders to coordinate planning, remove obstacles, improve delivery flow, and ensure teams remain aligned on priorities and objectives. Leveraging your Agile expertise and technical understanding of cloud-based environments, you will help teams navigate dependencies, manage risks, and achieve predictable delivery outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring alignment from strategic roadmap through solution delivery.
- Coordinate and facilitate key SAFe events, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, and Inspect & Adapt workshops.
- Partner with Product and Technology leaders to improve planning, execution, and delivery of business value.
- Coach leaders, teams, and stakeholders on Lean-Agile principles, practices, and ways of working.
- Mentor Scrum Masters and support the advancement of Agile practices across the ART.
- Identify, track, escalate, and drive resolution of risks, dependencies, and delivery impediments.
- Utilize delivery metrics, reporting, and performance indicators to improve predictability and support data-driven decision making.
- Optimize ART flow by reducing cross-team dependencies and improving coordination across multiple teams.
- Collaborate with Agile coaches, peer RTEs, and delivery leaders to advance organizational Agile maturity and continuous improvement.
- This role primarily supports teams operating within Central Time Zone business hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery, technology, product development, or related environments.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs as a Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or similar Agile delivery leadership role.
- Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies, including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Experience facilitating program-level planning and execution events across multiple teams.
- Ability to analyze delivery metrics and use data to drive execution improvements and business outcomes.
- Technical background with an understanding of cloud-based technology environments and the ability to effectively identify, assess, and help resolve delivery blockers and dependencies.
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification preferred; candidates with extensive Release Train Engineer experience may be considered in lieu of certification. Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
