Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Network Operations Support Technician supporting the State of Alabama’s LAN/WAN networks. This full-time, on-site role involves monitoring and maintaining critical network systems, including point-to-point, wireless, VPN, and campus networks for voice and data circuits. Participate in a rotating 24/7 shift schedule, including weekends and holidays, with a primary shift from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a 10-day cycle. You will be responsible for promptly responding to network alarms, updating incident records, analyzing network reports to troubleshoot issues, and collaborating with technical support teams to ensure service reliability. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting LAN/WAN networks
  • At least 1 year of call center or service desk experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of voice and data circuits and troubleshooting
  • Experience with incident ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Remedy
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Preferred: CompTIA Network+ Certification
