Job description
We are seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to support the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise-wide voice and data networks. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of LAN/WAN environments by proactively monitoring network alerts, responding to incidents, and coordinating issue resolution with technical support teams.
This is a hands-on operational support position in a fast-paced, 24/7 network environment requiring strong troubleshooting skills, customer service experience, and the ability to work rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor network alarms, alerts, and fault conditions to ensure continuous service availability.

Support and maintain LAN/WAN networking environments, including point-to-point, wireless, campus, VPN, voice, and data circuits.

Analyze network performance data, reports, databases, and dashboards to identify equipment, connectivity, or service issues.

Create, update, and maintain incident tickets, service requests, change records, configuration items, and resolution documentation using an IT service management system.

Initiate and track trouble reports while coordinating with technical support and maintenance personnel to ensure timely resolution.

Research and troubleshoot network, circuit, and connectivity issues.

Document network events, resolutions, and operational procedures accurately.

Provide excellent customer support while communicating issue status and resolution progress.

Participate in shift turnover activities to ensure seamless operational support.
Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
-
Minimum one (1) year of experience supporting or maintaining LAN/WAN networks.

Minimum one (1) year of service desk, help desk, technical support, or systems analysis experience.

Knowledge of voice and data circuits and basic troubleshooting practices.

Experience using incident or ticket management systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar platforms.

Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
-
CompTIA Network+ certification.
-
Experience within a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
-
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance reporting systems.
Work Schedule
-
Full-time, onsite position.
-
Training conducted during day shift hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
-
Rotating schedule includes alternating weekends, holidays, and extended shift coverage as part of a 24/7 operations team.
Additional Information

Contract-to-hire opportunity.

Candidates must be able to work onsite; remote work is not available.

Successful completion of required background screening is required.
