IT Support Specialist

We are looking for an IT Support Administrator who can provide reliable day-to-day support while helping us build a more organized and scalable IT environment. This position is well suited for someone early in their IT career who is responsible, detail-oriented, and interested in growing with the company., * Receive and provide first-level support for employee IT requests, including user accounts, printers, business applications, and network connectivity.

• Set up computers, applications, and user accounts for new employees.
• Collect, reset, and update the status of devices returned by departing employees.
• Document completed work, support requests, and resolutions.
• Provide regular updates and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team member.
• Use the company’s internal management system to track support requests and service history once implemented.

Device and IT Asset Management

• Register and manage Windows PCs and Mac computers through device-management platforms.
• Assist with deploying operating-system updates, software, configurations, and security settings.
• Support the company’s transition to a cloud-based IT environment by following established procedures and department-specific rollout plans.
• Perform standard device setup procedures and verify that systems are working properly.
• Conduct company-wide IT asset inventories and maintain accurate asset records.
• Apply asset labels and track device assignments, returns, transfers, and condition.
• Review software licenses and monitor renewal dates.
• Maintain accurate lists of computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
• Work with platforms such as Microsoft Intune and Jamf. Training will be provided after hire.

Security and Access Systems

• Issue and collect employee ID cards and building-access cards.
• Add, update, and remove user access permissions.
• Maintain user information within building-access and security systems.
• Perform routine checks to confirm that security equipment is operating properly.
• Report unusual activity or equipment issues and assist with vendor service requests.
• Access security-related information only through approved procedures and with proper authorization.

Documentation and Operational Support

• Create, maintain, and update system configuration records.
• Document system issues, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Assist with internal cybersecurity and security-awareness training.
• Track participation and training completion.
• Support other IT Department projects and operational needs as assigned.

• Zero to two years of IT-related experience. Internships, campus employment, technical support experience, and personal projects will be considered.
• Basic understanding of computer operating systems, office software, user accounts, and workplace technology.
• Ability to follow established procedures carefully and document work accurately.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to handle confidential, personal, and company information responsibly.
