Job description
Responsibilities may vary depending on experience level but can include:
- Install microwave antennas, radios, mounts, waveguide, coaxial cable, hybrid cable, fiber, and associated hardware.
- Perform telecommunications tower climbs to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade microwave backhaul systems.
- Install and commission carrier-grade microwave radio equipment.
- Perform sweep testing, PIM testing, fiber testing, grounding, and system verification.
- Read engineering drawings, construction documents, and installation packages.
- Troubleshoot RF and microwave equipment during installation and commissioning.
- Complete high-quality installations while meeting customer and carrier specifications.
- Capture accurate closeout documentation and project photographs.
- Safely operate company vehicles, trailers, generators, and jobsite equipment.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, carrier, and company safety standards.
- Represent Braxon Industries professionally on every project.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Ability to climb telecommunications towers.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Level II
- Previous tower climbing or telecommunications infrastructure experience.
- Experience installing microwave equipment, antennas, or transmission systems preferred.
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow installation standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Level III
- Extensive experience installing and commissioning microwave backhaul systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of carrier standards, RF systems, and quality requirements.
- Experience mentoring junior technicians.

While the following certifications and experience are beneficial, they are not required. We will provide training and assist qualified employees in obtaining applicable certifications as part of their professional development.
- Tower Climber Certification (ComTrain or equivalent)
- OSHA 10 / OSHA 30
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- RF Awareness Training
- Microwave radio platform training (Nokia, Ericsson, Aviat, Ceragon, DragonWave, and others)
- Test equipment training (Anritsu, Bird, Kaelus, EXFO, VIAVI, and others)

Braxon Industries is seeking motivated, safety-driven Microwave Backhaul Technicians (Levels I, II & III) to join our rapidly growing deployment team.
Our crews specialize in the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of carrier-grade microwave backhaul systems for major wireless carriers and telecommunications infrastructure providers across the United States. From tower-top radio installations to complete microwave path deployments, our work connects communities and powers the networks millions rely on every day.
This is more than a tower climbing position. We’re looking for professionals who take pride in craftsmanship, technical excellence, and doing the job right the first time.
Travel is a significant part of our deployment strategy, with projects throughout the Southwest, Mountain West, and expanding markets nationwide.
