Job description
We are seeking an adaptable, service-oriented IT Support & Service Technician to maintain system infrastructure and provide high-touch technical guidance to our team and clients. In this role, you will balance field support, remote troubleshooting, and systems administration. You will act as a trusted technology advisor to the local community and our internal leadership, Technical Service & Support
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Resolve hardware damage, remove malware/PUPs, and execute data recovery protocols.
- System Deployment: Configure new devices with recovered data, custom software, and specialized hardware.
- Field Support: Travel to local residential and commercial client sites for hands-on installations and service.
- Warranty Management: Process vendor and manufacturer warranties via phone, chat, and online portal systems.
Client Consulting & Training
- Technical Translation: Explain complex IT issues to non-technical users to empower their digital literacy.
- Sales Advisory: Assist clients with hardware selection, software sourcing, and ideal tech ecosystem configurations.
- Relationship Management: Build long-term trust to uphold our regional reputation for excellent customer service.
- Leadership Guidance: Advise executive leadership on emerging technologies to guide strategic decision-making.
Infrastructure & Operations
- Network Administration: Install, update, and monitor company software, hardware, and network pipelines.
- Data Integrity: Oversee and test routine backup architectures and disaster recovery procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Partner with software providers to optimize internal applications and databases.
- System Documentation: Maintain precise system configuration blueprints, ticketing records, and schedule logs.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of combined IT education or professional tech support experience.
- Core Technical Skills: 1+ years of experience with computer networking, Windows environments, and Microsoft Office.
- OS Proficiency: Practical knowledge of macOS, iOS, Android, and Google Workspace environments.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to train users of varying ages and tech skill levels.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of equipment.
