Job description

  • Lead projects through all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC) using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies as appropriate.
  • Act as the Scrum Master, facilitating stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming while coaching teams on Agile principles.
  • Lead the development of the IT technology portfolio and manage a cloud infrastructure capacity plan.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation and present technical reports/recommendations to executives. Review business needs to recommend and implement policy changes that ensure regulatory compliance and enforcement.
  • Coordinate the procurement of products/services and manage complex vendor contracts to ensure schedule and budget performance.
  • Direct the implementation and integration of enterprise networking, firewalls, and servers, while optimizing cloud configurations (AWS/Azure) and VMware infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
  • Evaluate complex business problems and project solutions from multiple perspectives, including customers, stakeholders, and vendors, to provide technical advice and viable alternatives.
  • Display a high degree of professionalism and tact when working with diverse peers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible project management experience managing large scale enterprise information technology (IT) projects.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in leading the design, build, and operation of highly consistent and scalable infrastructure on major platforms, with a strong preference for AWS.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience demonstrating a broad technical understanding of extended networking domains, virtualization, and hybrid cloud integrations.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have three (3) years of experience managing deployment, runtime, load balancing, autoscaling, and system performance tuning.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have three (3) years of project management experience supporting projects with cross-functional stakeholder groups across business and IT.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have three (3) years of experience with information and application security concepts, including public key encryption, remote access, access credentials, and certificate-based authentication.
  • Possess a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute. A copy of the certification must be provided upon request. The certification is required and cannot be substituted with the experience.

Desirable Experience:

  • Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a Higher Education environment.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, have two (2) years of experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and ITIL-based process improvement.
  • Within the last ten (10) years, have two (2) years of experience with MS Project or ServiceNow for the purposes of Project Management.
