Job description
Client seeks an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a network modernization initiative across North and South America. This person will manage the refresh of aging network equipment, coordinate global technical teams and suppliers, and deliver project scope on schedule and within budget. You will lead a core team of five to ten stakeholders, subject matter experts, business analysts, and functional analysts. You will work independently, clarify scope, lead steering committees, manage risks, and maintain clear communication across countries, teams, and technical disciplines., Lead project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, issues, and deliverables. Manage infrastructure projects involving network equipment investments exceeding $500,000. Coordinate work across internal IT teams, external suppliers, architects, and subject matter experts across multiple geographic regions. Plan, analyze, schedule, and track implementation changes. Complete monthly budget reforecasting and cost planning. Facilitate steering committee meetings, project team meetings, and project status communications. Monitor progress through defined metrics and reporting to ensure delivery against schedule, budget, and business goals. Lead production handoff activities, including documentation, Service Desk knowledge articles, proactive monitoring, and operational readiness. Facilitate lessons learned and support continuous improvement in project management processes. Build clear PowerPoint presentations for technical teams, leadership, and steering committees. Technical Environment AWS and Azure cloud environments Windows and Linux server-hosted applications On-premises infrastructure Enterprise network infrastructure ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, Clarity, and Microsoft Project
Requirements
Five or more years of IT project management experience. Three or more years leading dispersed teams across multiple geographic regions, countries, or cultures. Experience managing large IT infrastructure projects, including network equipment projects exceeding $500,000. Strong knowledge of waterfall project delivery and PMBOK project management practices. Working knowledge of Agile, PMP standards, and other project management frameworks. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft 365 tools, Clarity, and Microsoft Project. Experience managing project budgets, timelines, vendor deliverables, risks, issues, dependencies, and change activity. Ability to work autonomously, resolve conflicts, build consensus, and drive decisions. Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly to both technical and business audiences. Three Must-Haves * Large-scale IT infrastructure project leadership, including network equipment projects over $500,000.
- Global project management experience across distributed teams, countries, and time zones.
- Strong waterfall and PMBOK knowledge, including ServiceNow, Clarity, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft 365 tools.
Preferred Qualifications PMP and/or Lean certification. Strong process management and continuous improvement experience. Experience leading hybrid teams and driving collaboration across technical disciplines. Experience preparing executive-level PowerPoint presentations. Process-oriented, results-focused leadership style.
