Job description

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and other reporting tools to visualize key performance metrics.
  • Design and implement data models, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and database schemas within SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL databases to ensure accurate data integration.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into effective data solutions.
  • Conduct analysis using Excel data analysis techniques and leverage data analytics tools such as R, Python, Talend, and VBA for advanced insights.
  • Manage query development and optimization within SQL environments to support efficient data retrieval and reporting.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of BI solutions.
  • Utilize Agile project management methodologies to deliver timely updates and enhancements while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Perform database design tasks ensuring scalable architecture for linked data and business intelligence applications.
  • Document processes using Visio or similar tools for clear communication of system workflows and architecture.
  • Support technical troubleshooting and perform system upgrades or enhancements aligned with best practices in analysis skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong background in dashboard development and data visualization.
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL programming including query management, stored procedures, and database design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools for creating compelling visualizations.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes using Talend or equivalent tools to facilitate seamless data integration.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Agile for managing project lifecycles effectively.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like R or Python for statistical analysis and automation tasks.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases in a business environment.
  • Knowledge of linked data concepts and experience integrating diverse data sources for comprehensive analytics solutions.
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets using Excel data analysis techniques combined with advanced analytics tools.
  • Excellent business analysis skills with a focus on requirements gathering and translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with VBA scripting for automating repetitive tasks within Excel or other Office applications.
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple deliverables within deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
