AI Engineer / Developer

You apply an AI-first approach to software engineering, evaluating AI-powered tools, agentic workflows, and automation opportunities as the preferred starting point for solving software development challenges, from small feature enhancements to complex enterprise-scale solutions. You can analyze and review existing platforms and processes and provide meaningful feedback on improvement and convert this to actionable tasks and projects. You practice continuous learning to keep up with current trends and design patterns in the software world. You have a deep understanding and passion for the cloud and supporting tools development You understand the value that tools and automation bring to an engineering team’s ability to effectively develop and reliably operate high-scale systems. You thrive on the success of your team by supporting them from a technical and architectural aspect, by guiding and mentoring others on the team. You can tackle problems both at the large scale and small scale. Experience you need: 4+ years of software development experience with a focus on designing and deploying API-led, microservice architected solutions. Skilled in cloud technologies, like Google Cloud Platform and Azure with 3 years of experience deploying to production environments. Proven experience in developing AI Agentic solutions to solve practical, day-to-day engineering problems. 4+ years in .NET development (C#) 2+ years of Python scripting experience. YAML CI/CD workflow development (ideally Github Actions) AI Agent development and skills creation (YAML, Markdown) Experience of MCP server architecture, development and management. Experience with Containerized applications in a production environment (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm) Demonstrated ability to mentor other software engineers. Good understanding of computer science fundamentals. BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience we hope to see: At least 2 years experience with Typescript, Javascript, Go. Experience of Atlassian tool stack
