Job description

We are seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team.

This is a high-level technical position responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting complex network infrastructures for our clients. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a passion for mentoring others while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

In addition to serving as the technical lead on advanced networking projects, this individual will provide guidance to our helpdesk team, recommend strategic technology solutions, and help ensure our clients’ IT environments remain secure, reliable, and scalable., * Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise network environments

  • Lead complex network deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure projects
  • Troubleshoot advanced routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless issues
  • Configure and support firewalls, VLANs, SD-WAN, VPNs, and network security solutions
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide Tier III escalation support for complex networking issues
  • Work closely with clients to understand business needs and recommend technology solutions
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to helpdesk team and support staff
  • Create and maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project implementation and customer satisfaction
  • Stay current on emerging networking, cloud, and cybersecurity technologies

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5+ years of Network Engineering experience in an MSP environment
  • Proven experience designing and supporting complex network infrastructures
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, wireless networking, and network security
  • Experience configuring and supporting firewalls and network security appliances
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud technologies is preferred
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V) preferred
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and disaster recovery planning
  • Experience leading technical projects from planning through implementation
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Certifications

  • Cisco CCNA
  • CCNP, * Network Engineering in an MSP environment: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s license (Required)

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular travel to client locations and the ability to:

  • Operate a motor vehicle safely

  • Sit or stand for extended periods
