(MSP Experience Required) Sr. Systems Engineer

O-Lux Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing client IT environments while serving as a technical leader within the organization.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, and MSP operations. This individual must be capable of independently managing projects, resolving complex technical issues, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships.

ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Act as the highest level of technical escalation for complex issues.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in strategic planning and technology recommendations for clients.

Microsoft & Cloud Technologies

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Design and support Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, networking, backups, and security.
• Perform Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, and cloud adoption projects.

Infrastructure & Virtualization

• Install, configure, and support Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Administer VMware ESXi and Hyper-V environments.
• Design and implement server, storage, and virtualization solutions.

Networking & Security

• Configure and troubleshoot SonicWall firewalls.
• Manage VPN solutions including SSL VPN and site-to-site VPNs.
• Support switching and wireless technologies including VLANs, routing, and network segmentation.
• Implement cybersecurity solutions including EDR, SIEM, ITDR, email security, and security awareness training.
• Perform security assessments and remediation planning.

Project Delivery

• Lead infrastructure deployments, migrations, and refresh projects.
• Develop project plans, documentation, and implementation procedures.
• Coordinate project timelines and communicate status updates with clients.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Client Relations

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
• Conduct client meetings and technical reviews.
• Present recommendations and project proposals.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Documentation & Process

• Maintain accurate documentation of client environments.
• Create and update network diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation.
• Track work through PSA systems and maintain detailed ticket notes.
• Follow established service delivery and escalation procedures.

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 7+ years of IT experience.

• 3+ years working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Strong experience with:
• Microsoft 365

• Networking (VLANs, VPNs, Routing, Switching)
• Microsoft Intune
• Microsoft Entra ID
• Cybersecurity solutions
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications (MS-102, AZ-104, AZ-305, etc.)
• SonicWall certifications
• VMware certifications
• CompTIA Security+
• Experience with Datto RMM, Autotask PSA, IT Glue, Huntress, SentinelOne, and Microsoft Defender.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year, * 401(k)
