Our Neuromodulation Business Unit is advancing the Gynesis platform, bringing a new generation of connected therapeutic garment technology to the patients who rely on it. The Opportunity This role owns Gynesis garment design in-house - construction, electrode integration, fit, and durability - and brings that design know-how and IP under Caldera before it transfers to a contract manufacturer. You’ll be the single owner who gets the garment to reliably deliver therapy and qualifies it for design freeze, regulatory submission and commercialization. Gynesis is the foundational platform for future indications, which will require garment adjustment/re-design. This role will be responsible for evolving Gynesis garment for future indications expansion. What You’ll Do

• Own the design of the Gynesis therapeutic garment in-house - construction, electrode placement and sizing, and electrode-to-fabric integration.

• Resolve open design questions and their impact on fit, fabric selection, connector layout, durability, and cost (COGS).

• Drive material and construction decisions, including their intellectual-property implications.

• Own fit and sizing across the product range and validate wash/wear durability through structured testing.

• Build and run benchtop and prototype test plans to characterize therapy delivery (waveform, current density, electrode performance) before in-person testing.

• Direct contract-manufacturer NRE and rapid prototype-to-test cycles in partnership with our clinical advisor; own manufacturability and design transfer.

• Capture design rationale, DFMEA, and risk documentation in the Design History File (DHF); protect the construction IP behind Caldera’s patent estate.

• Technical-apparel / wearable e-textile engineering experience with electrode integration.

• Garment construction, fit/grading, and durability-testing experience.

• Comfortable directing contract manufacturers and running rapid prototype*test loops.

• IP awareness around construction and materials choices - able to recognize and help protect patentable design decisions.

• Ownership mindset - able to drive an ambiguous, unresolved technical problem to a working, testable solution.

• NMES / bioelectronics exposure a plus.

Why This Role Matters The garment is critical for Gynesis’ design freeze. This role determines whether Caldera owns its own construction and electrode-integration IP or lets that know-how live permanently with a contract manufacturer. Getting this right protects Caldera’s patent estate and sets the foundation the entire garment platform will be built on as it scales into adjacent configurations.
