Job description

The Technology Specialist plays a vital role in advancing independence and improving quality of life for individuals supported by Pathfinder Village under the direction of the Director and Clinical Coordinator of Adult Services. This position is responsible for assessing individual technology needs, recommending and implementing appropriate assistive and adaptive technologies, and maintaining or troubleshooting technology in both residential and day service settings. The ideal candidate will also bring strategic and innovative thinking to help shape and expand the agency’s technology programs.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Assistive Technology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Information Technology, Rehabilitation Engineering, or a related field
  • minimum of 2 years of experience working with assistive technology and/or individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong working knowledge of a wide range of assistive and adaptive technologies.
  • Experience with smart home technology, AAC devices, and remote monitoring systems.,
  • Valid New York State Drivers’ License
