Job description
You know the difference between scheduling maintenance and actually planning it.
In this role, you’ll be the person making sure new renewable-energy plants have the right maintenance structure in place-from SAP S/4HANA setup to Maintenance Plans, Maintenance Items, work orders, and the schedules that keep assets running.
You’ll work across utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage operations, helping turn maintenance data into a system the field teams can actually use.
What you’ll do
- Build and refine detailed maintenance work plans based on labor, materials, equipment, and plant requirements.
- Lead planned and emergent maintenance scheduling with field operations.
- Onboard new plants into SAP S/4HANA, configuring maintenance data, PMs, workflows, and work-order generation.
- Build and automate Annual Maintenance Plans and maintain equipment and maintenance history.
- Analyze planned vs. actual performance to identify where schedules, manpower, or resources can improve.
- Develop SAP BOMs, variants, reports, KPIs, and other tools that make maintenance planning more effective across the fleet.
- Help standardize work-management practices and support field teams as new processes are rolled out.
What you get
You’ll have a remote work environment, a $60-$70/hour rate, and 40 hours per week. Travel is limited to approximately 5-10%.
More importantly, you’re not walking into a role where someone hands you a spreadsheet and tells you to keep it updated. You’ll have a real opportunity to influence how maintenance is planned and executed across a growing renewable-energy fleet.
Requirements
You’re a maintenance planner who understands what happens in the field-not just someone who knows how to move dates around on a schedule. You’ve worked with SAP S/4HANA or another EAM system and know how to build preventive maintenance programs, interpret mechanical and electrical information, and manage multiple priorities without someone constantly looking over your shoulder.
Hands-on experience creating SAP Maintenance Plans and Maintenance Items is a genuine must-have for this position.
