Network Engineer (BMS/EPMS)

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer - BMS/EPMS to support the design, implementation, and operation of Operational Technology (OT) networks supporting Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and facility controls across large-scale data center environments.

This individual will be responsible for designing secure and segmented OT networks, standardizing network deployments across sites, and managing the OT/IT boundary through firewalls, monitoring, and access controls. The ideal candidate will partner closely with controls engineers, facilities teams, and vendors to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure network operations.

Responsibilities Design and support OT networks for BMS, EPMS, and facility control systems. Implement secure network segmentation and OT security best practices. Standardize facility network architecture across multiple sites. Manage firewalls, monitoring platforms, and OT/IT connectivity. Troubleshoot network performance and reliability issues. Collaborate with controls engineers and third-party vendors on network integrations.

5+ years of experience supporting OT, industrial, or critical facility networks. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation). Experience supporting building automation or industrial control system environments. Knowledge of OT networking protocols, including BACnet/IP. Experience working with cross-functional engineering and operations teams. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Data center networking experience. Experience with BMS and EPMS environments. Knowledge of IEC 62443 or OT cybersecurity frameworks. Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms. Background in controls engineering, industrial automation, or facilities infrastructure.
