Job description

  • Model Architecture: Design and implement high-performance, low-latency ML models for fare and itinerary estimation.
  • Data Engineering: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to process massive volumes of historical fare and schedule data.
  • Intelligent Routing: Develop confidence scoring systems to intelligently route traffic between ML models and current legacy stacks.
  • Domain leadership: develop core domain expertise in the field of using ML for fare and itinerary prediction.
  • Technical Leadership: hire, lead and mentor other engineers as the team grows.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner alongside the founders with key organizations in the industry in developing the core Zerolook offering.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field.
  • Broad ML Knowledge: familiarity with the breadth of ML approaches and their relative strengths and weaknesses.
  • Production ML Expertise: 4+ years in designing, training, and deploying ML models in production environments.
  • Engineering Foundation: Strong software engineering skills with experience building robust, automated data pipelines.
  • Startup DNA: Comfortable with the “0 to 1” phase-ambiguity, fast iteration, and taking extreme ownership.

Bonus Requirements

  • Travel Tech: Previous experience with OTAs, metasearch, or GDS/NDC integration is a significant plus.
  • Large scale applications: experience building applications serving over 10K QPS at latencies on the order of 1 sec.
  • Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science and/or educational concentration in Data Science
