Job description

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level IT Support Technician to join our Information Technology team. This position provides day-to-day technical support to employees across the organization and assists with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, and other technology., * Provide Level 1 technical support to employees experiencing hardware, software, login, connectivity, and peripheral issues.

  • Troubleshoot Windows computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other end-user equipment.
  • Set up and configure computers, laptops, mobile devices, and other equipment for new and existing employees.
  • Install and configure approved software and applications.
  • Assist users with password resets, account access, email, and basic authentication issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 and other business applications used by the organization.
  • Connect and configure printers, scanners, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with basic network and Wi-Fi connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Prepare equipment for new employees and assist with technology-related onboarding and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the organization’s ticketing system.
  • Escalate issues to senior IT staff when additional technical expertise or administrative access is required.
  • Assist the IT team with equipment replacements, upgrades, deployments, and other technology projects.
  • Follow established IT security policies and procedures when handling systems, accounts, and devices.
  • Protect confidential organizational and patient information and follow applicable HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
  • Provide professional and courteous technical assistance to clinical, administrative, and management staff.
  • Perform other IT-related duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in information technology, good problem-solving skills, and a customer-service mindset. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning a career in IT and looking to gain hands-on experience in a healthcare environment., * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree, technical training, or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

  • Entry-level position; previous professional IT experience is not required.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking, Wi-Fi, printers, and common peripheral devices.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the IT team.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or familiarity with any of the following is helpful but not required:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Windows 10/11
  • Endpoint security and antivirus solutions
  • Help desk or ticketing systems
  • Basic TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
  • Healthcare IT environments and HIPAA security requirements
