Job description
As an IT manager in Enterprise Database Services, you’ll lead a team responsible for the delivery, support, and evolution of Progressive’s NoSQL and Cloud database platforms. This role is critical in driving our enterprise database modernization, operational excellence, and cloud adoption. In this role, you will lead a team of high-performing team comprised of DBAs, R&D Engineer, and a Product Owner, partner closely with business and architecture stakeholders, and help shape the future of our database platforms. This is an exciting role for a curious and forward-thinking leader to lead and drive database innovation across the enterprise.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.
- {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Business Management) and a minimum of 1 year of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.
Preferred skills
- Experience managing technical teams that support critical production services
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and vendor management
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills with business and IT teams, Enterprise Architects and Domain Architects
- Servant leadership mindset with experience coaching, mentoring, and building inclusive teams
- Experience leveraging AI, Lean practices, and continuous improvement to improve team effectiveness and customer value
