Job description
As an IT manager within Product IT, you’ll lead the Testing, Automation & Verification Services (TAVS) team. In this role, you will define and execute the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of testing, automation, and verification capabilities that enhance software quality, accelerate delivery timelines, and reduce production risk across Product IT and Personal Lines Pricing. Your team will serve as a Center of Excellence, partnering closely with Product Delivery, Service Management, and Personal Lines business teams to deliver automation frameworks, verification tools, workflow solutions, and consulting services that support critical business initiatives. You’ll lead a high-performing team focused on driving innovation, operational excellence, and strategic technology investments that strengthen Progressive’s ability to deliver high-quality products with confidence and speed.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.
- {OR} Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Business Management) and a minimum of 1 year of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.
Preferred skills
- Demonstrated success managing and developing high-performing technology teams.
- Strong understanding of software quality engineering / development, automated testing, verification, DevOps, CI/CD, or application lifecycle management.
- Proven ability to build trusted partnerships across business and technology organizations.
- Demonstrates strong strategic thinking, effectively balancing long-term investments with day-to-day operational priorities while influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear communication
- Experience leading organizational change, modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
