Clean Code Principles Artificial Intelligence Software Debugging

Job description

  • Design, code, test, deploy, and operate frontend applications, backend services, data pipelines, and AI systems that power models, specialized reasoning and resolution agents, and human-in-the-loop AI features
  • Run A/B tests and ship production features tied to real business outcomes
  • Partner closely with product managers and operators to turn cumbersome manual workflows into agentic and AI-driven automations
  • Work with AI and ML engineers to build AI-native systems that combine deterministic logic, traditional ML models, and LLMs
  • Design and build secure, compliant, and reliable systems at scale

Requirements

  • Software engineer with 3-6+ years of experience building and operating production systems
  • Demonstrated experience owning features or services end-to-end in production
  • Comfortable leading projects independently, from design through deployment and iteration, with a preference for working directly with users to understand their needs and design solutions hand in hand with product
  • Experienced scaling production systems, including debugging real-world issues across performance, reliability, and data correctness
  • Motivated by meaningful ownership and the ability to influence technical and product direction
  • Curious about applied AI and eager to deepen their expertise
  • Committed to clean code, reliability, and production readiness
  • Healthcare experience is not required.

About the company

The customer is a healthcare technology company building an AI-native revenue operating system: software that reasons over complete medical records, payer rules, and financial workflows to automate coding, billing, and claims follow-up.

The platform is already live in production at a large share of major U.S. health systems, handling well over 100M claims and 500M+ patient encounters each year, with more than a billion automated workflow actions and outcomes annually. The company operates at national scale with real customers and real data behind every system it runs.

The role offers startup-level ownership on problems with enterprise-level stakes, for engineers who want their work to measurably improve how healthcare runs., Raise is an established hiring firm with over 65 years of experience. We believe strongly in making the world a better place through work, which is why we’re a certified B Corporation and donate 10% of our profits to charity.
