Job description

POS Client Customization

· Design, develop, and maintain custom plugins using the Oracle MICROS Simphony Extension Application Development API.

· Extend POS functionality by intercepting POS events, customizing UI workflows, and implementing transaction logic within the Simphony client runtime.

· Develop custom software modules using the Sim.Net SDK and Extension Application APIs.

Edge Application Development

· Build high-performance, low-latency background services and client-side applications using C#/.NET.

· Develop resilient edge computing solutions that support restaurant workstation operations.

· Enhance workstation-level integrations within the restaurant POS ecosystem.

Local Data Management

· Design and optimize embedded database solutions using SQLite or SQL Server Express.

· Implement offline data caching, local configuration storage, and state management.

· Support offline-first functionality and seamless data synchronization.

Enterprise Messaging & Integration

· Develop asynchronous communication between POS terminals and centralized systems using RabbitMQ.

· Build reliable event-driven messaging, synchronization, and integration workflows.

· Ensure resilient data exchange in environments with intermittent connectivity.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled C# Developer to build, maintain, and optimize custom client-side applications and plugins that run directly within the Oracle MICROS Simphony POS terminal environment., · 4+ years of professional experience with C#/.NET or .NET Core development.

· Experience developing desktop applications, class libraries, or client-side plugins.

· Strong experience with SQLite and/or SQL Server Express.

· Experience designing lightweight relational database schemas and writing efficient SQL queries.

· Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or other AMQP-based messaging systems.

· Strong understanding of:

o Multithreading

o Local concurrency

o Offline-first application design

o Data synchronization

o Event-driven architectures

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience developing Oracle MICROS Simphony Extension Applications using the Sim.Net SDK.

· Experience working with Oracle MICROS Simphony POS.

· Background in Hospitality Technology, Restaurant POS, or Retail POS environments.

· Experience integrating restaurant POS systems with enterprise applications.
