Cloud DevOps Engineer / AWS / Onsite

A leading publicly traded media organization headquartered in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join its growing technology team. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week. The ideal candidate will bring experience working within a public cloud environment, ideally AWS along with Infrastructure as Code experience using tools such as Terraform., * 35% Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

• 25% Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• 20% CI/CD & Automation (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• 10% Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• 10% Security, Networking & Identity Management

Daily Responsibilities

• 40% Infrastructure provisioning, maintenance, and optimization
• 25% CI/CD pipeline development and automation initiatives
• 15% Containerized application deployments and support
• 10% Cloud security, networking, and identity management
• 10% Team collaboration, troubleshooting, and operational improvements

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related role
• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Experience working with Docker or other containerization technologies
• Familiarity with source control platforms such as GitHub
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts, identity management, and security best practices
• Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting infrastructure issues
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
• Exposure to Kubernetes environments
• Experience managing cloud security posture and compliance initiatives
• Familiarity with Akamai or other CDN/security platforms
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience working within hybrid or multi-cloud environments
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Background supporting highly available customer-facing applications
