College of the Ozarks invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Computer Science beginning in the Fall 2027 semester, though starting Spring 2027 may be possible. We seek a student-centered, self-motivated, and versatile faculty member with strong teaching skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues. This position will focus primarily on the continued development and stewardship of our new Data Science and Artificial Intelligence program.
The Computer Science Department offers majors and minors in Computer Information Science, Computer Science, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, as well as a minor in Cybersecurity and a range of general education courses.
Teaching responsibilities will include both lower- and upper-division courses in Computer Science, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain and develop course content and curriculum to ensure high-quality instruction and ongoing alignment with academic standards and industry needs. The standard teaching load is 24 credit hours over a nine-month academic year.
