Software Debugging Job Scheduling Epicor ERP

Job description

We’re hiring an Epicor ERP/APS Architect/Lead to drive scheduling automation for a manufacturing client. This is a hands-on dev role, not just config - you’ll be digging into existing Epicor code, some of it undocumented, and building automation that replaces manual scheduling work.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze client’s current manual Epicor scheduling process - job scheduling logic, machine routing, backlog management - and find where automation fits
  • Design, build, and implement Epicor scheduling automation to cut manual effort and tighten planning accuracy
  • Read, debug, and extend existing Epicor code, including working through complex legacy logic to fix issues
  • Own a development project end-to-end - scoping, planning, delivery on a set timeline
  • Work hybrid - partner with the client’s internal dev/architect, but also deliver solo when needed
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business users, and project teams through implementation and support
  • Provide ongoing production support and improvement recommendations

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on Epicor ERP/APS experience, specifically scheduling module configuration and customization
  • Proven track record debugging and extending existing Epicor code
  • Experience automating manual scheduling in a manufacturing/production environment (job scheduling, machine routing, backlog planning)
  • Comfortable owning projects independently, end-to-end
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation
