Job description

The Manager of Information Technology Services is an Act 93 position in Tier A, Grade 9, responsible for leading the District’s enterprise applications, software systems, data integrations, and technology projects. This role provides strategic and operational oversight for the planning, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of business and instructional applications, ensuring technology solutions align with District goals, operational needs, and budgetary requirements. The Manager serves as the District’s Student Information System (SIS) Administrator, overseeing the operation, support, configuration, security, and integration of Infinite Campus and related systems. This role collaborates with district departments to ensure the integrity, availability, and effective use of student, staff, and operational data. The Manager directs the daily operations of the Application Services Team (3 members) and the Technology Support Specialists/Help Desk (3 members). This position ensures consistent, reliable, and customer-focused technology services across the district., + Lead and supervise the Application Services and Technology Support teams, establishing priorities, expectations, and accountability.

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications and technology systems.
  • Serve as the District’s Student Information System (SIS) Administrator, ensuring the effective operation, security, and integration of Infinite Campus and related systems.
  • Collaborate with district leaders, staff, vendors, and stakeholders to identify needs and deliver effective technology solutions.
  • Manage technology projects, resources, budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Monitor team performance, project progress, and service delivery metrics, providing regular updates and recommendations.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, customer service, innovation, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and resolve operational, technical, and personnel issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure the integrity, availability, and effective use of student, staff, and operational data.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and standards related to application support and technology services.
  • Represent the Department of Technology and Innovation on district committees, project teams, and stakeholder groups as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and Innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees and relevant professional certifications preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience managing technology projects, with demonstrated success in implementing solutions that improve organizational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Prior supervisory experience with the ability to mentor, develop, manage, and lead technical staff.
  • Experience administering and supporting a Student Information System (SIS), preferably Infinite Campus, including system configuration, security, data management, integrations, and user support.
  • Experience with database management, reporting, and analytics platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of enterprise application management, software implementation, data integrations, and technology support operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to manage diverse teams, establish priorities, and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple projects, and changing deadlines.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with staff at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, administrators, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, customer service, and relationship building.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and the ability to research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing software vendors, contracts, and third-party service providers.
  • Knowledge of K-12 education technology systems, data privacy requirements, and technology best practices preferred. Work Conditions

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
