Payroll/HRIS Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll/HRIS Analyst to join our dynamic Human Resources and Finance teams. This pivotal role is responsible for managing payroll processing, maintaining and optimizing HR Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws, and supporting financial and payroll data accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of payroll systems, accounting principles, and HR technology platforms, contributing to the seamless operation of our payroll and HR functions. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, confidentiality, and technical expertise are paramount., * Manage end-to-end payroll processing using systems such as Workday, Paylocity or UltiPro, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.

• Maintain and update our client’s HRIS platforms to ensure data integrity and system functionality.
• Reconcile payroll accounts with general ledger entries through double-entry bookkeeping practices and account reconciliation procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, labor regulations, and tax law requirements related to payroll processing.
• Prepare detailed reports on payroll expenses, tax filings, and labor law compliance for internal review and audit purposes.
• Support the administration of time & attendance systems by verifying attendance records and integrating data into payroll calculations.
• Handle confidential information with discretion while managing employee records, payroll data, and financial information.
• Assist in the implementation of new payroll or HRIS software upgrades; troubleshoot system issues promptly.
• Ensure accurate calculation of payroll taxes, deductions, benefits contributions, and other statutory requirements.

• Proven experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos.
• Strong understanding of HRIS platforms and their integration with financial software.
• Knowledge of accounting principles including double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• In-depth knowledge of employment law, labor law compliance requirements, and tax regulations affecting payroll processing.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
• Experience in corporate accounting or finance roles with an emphasis on payroll management.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
