Data Center Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for motivated professionals eager to work with advanced equipment and contribute to innovative technology solutions., * Install, configure, and maintain structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring to support data center operations.

• Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-speed connectivity and network integrity.
• Troubleshoot and repair telecommunications equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, and VoIP communication setups using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct network installation tasks including Ethernet wiring, cable termination, and equipment rack setup following schematics and technical specifications.
• Test telecommunication systems using specialized testing equipment like Ohmmeters, RF testers, and other diagnostic tools to verify system performance.
• Maintain and repair computer hardware components and network equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Support field service activities by performing routine inspections, emergency repairs, and upgrades within the data center environment.

• Proficiency in computer networking concepts including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VLANs, and network cabling standards.
• Experience with telecommunication systems installation, configuration, and troubleshooting including telephony (VoIP) and radio frequency (RF) testing.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling installation techniques for both copper (Cat5/Cat6) and fiber optic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for telecommunications and networking equipment.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, cable termination tools, and diagnostic testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Familiarity with electrical systems including AC/DC power supplies, low-voltage electrical wiring, and telecommunications power distribution.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
• Capable of performing equipment troubleshooting and repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols., * Data center: 3 years (Preferred)
