Job description

Join our dynamic team as a Data Center Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and optimizing cutting-edge telecommunications and data infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of network and communication systems within data center environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, reliable power systems, and efficient network operations, supporting the backbone of modern digital communication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and develop your skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting., * Install, configure, and maintain structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring to support telecommunications infrastructure.

  • Conduct fiber splicing and fiber optic systems installation to ensure high-quality data transmission across networks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair network equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, switches, and telecommunication systems using diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • Perform equipment testing using telecommunications testing equipment like ohmmeters, RF testers, and diagnostic software to identify faults or performance issues.
  • Set up and test communication systems including VoIP telephony, Avaya systems, NEC hardware, and radio frequency (RF) testing for optimal operation.
  • Install and maintain power systems including AC/DC electrical components to support data center hardware and network equipment.
  • Assist with network wiring, cable termination, and structured cabling installation to ensure organized and compliant infrastructure layouts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in field service roles involving telecommunications or data center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN/WAN architecture, network installation, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication systems such as telephony (VoIP), communication system installation, and cabling standards like Cat5/Cat6.
  • Hands-on experience with equipment repair using hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electrical wiring, fiber splicing techniques, and the use of schematics for system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams for complex network installations.
  • Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information to clients or team members while maintaining professionalism.

Benefits & conditions
