Job description

Assist in the efficient operation of all warehouse functions. The purpose is to handle inventory by receiving, processing, and storing goods according to orders. Deliver and maintain instructional media from the district warehouse to the campuses., 2. Maintain warehouse and dock areas in a clean, orderly, safe, and secure condition.

  1. Pull district orders/ticket requests efficiently for delivery.

  2. Promote district safety standards, good housekeeping skills, and model professional behavior through personal appearance and positive public interactions.

  3. Maintain a spirit of cooperation and helpfulness with all school personnel and with the general public.

  4. Maintain the equipment issued to him/her, keeping it clean and in good repair.

  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Lead and Logistics Coordinator.

Equipment Used:

· Forklifts

· Pallet jacks

· Computers

· Heavy trucks and trailers (preferred)

Requirements

· High school diploma or GED

· Valid Texas driver’s license

· Forklift certification (preferred)

Special Knowledge/Skills:

· Familiarity with warehouse procedures and safety protocols

· Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, trailers, and other warehouse equipment

· Basic computer skills for tracking inventory using warehouse management systems (preferred)

· Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments

· Requires interpersonal skills between both customers and coworkers

Experience:

· Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution center is beneficial

· Comfortable lifting and handling heavy items

· Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management

· Standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling for long periods of time.

· Frequent lifting of 50+ lbs.

Environmental Factors:

· Exposure to extreme hot and/or cold weather.

· Exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces.

Pay: $13.68 - $19.31 per hour
