Security Operations Center Technician

• Monitor security event queues and mission-essential information systems on a 24/7 rotating schedule.
• Triage, classify, and prioritize active alerts to ensure rapid containment and resolution of security events.
• Ingest, log, and process security events received via email, chat, voice, and system monitoring feeds.
• Analyze technical event data to accurately isolate genuine security incidents from false-positive indicators.
• Assist senior engineers during live network and security incident response and containment operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine automated security playbooks, detection rules, and dashboards.
• Author structured incident documentation, escalation summaries, and recommended response steps for stakeholders.

• 1 or more years of experience in a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) or network operations environment.
• Proficiency in real-time security alert monitoring, event triage, and SIEM incident response workflows.
• Experience with analyzing system logs, network telemetry, and distinguishing security threats from false positives.
• Experience in executing standardized incident response playbooks and formal escalation procedures.
• Experience with multi-channel event logging across ticketing systems, email, chat, and monitoring consoles.
• Experience in 24/7 rotating shift operations supporting mission-critical enterprise infrastructure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
