Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional HRIS & Payroll Specialist to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant HRIS and payroll support across our Austin and Taylor sites.

In this dual-impact role, you will manage end-to-end payroll processes-including tax/deduction handling, record maintenance, and reconciliation-while partnering closely with HR Operations and Shared Services. On the HRIS side, you will facilitate high-volume new hire data entry, manage indirect vendor onboarding, and audit data flows between HCM.

  • Education & Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of payroll and HR administration experience in a multi-site or fast-paced environment.
  • Software Expertise: Proven experience using Workday and UKG (UltiPro / Dimensions).
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Payroll Compliance: strong working knowledge of federal payroll laws, tax regulations, wage calculations, and garnishment procedures.
  • Data Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail with a track record of high-accuracy data entry under tight deadlines.
  • Problem Solving: strong analytical mindset capable of performing root-cause analysis on payroll and system discrepancies.
  • Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with employees, HR teams, and external partners

salary: $24 - $26 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

Payroll Execution: Assist with the end-to-end biweekly payroll cycle, processing adjustments, and ad-hoc payment requests.

Reconciliation & Auditing: Reconcile payroll data, perform timecard audits, and run basic payroll calculations to ensure 100% data accuracy before final processing.

Taxes & Garnishments: Process agency and payroll mail, accurately setting up tax deductions, wage levies, child support orders, and garnishments.

Root Cause Analysis: Research payroll discrepancies, perform root cause analyses, and coordinate with stakeholders to implement long-term solutions.

System Data Syncing: Monitor, verify, and audit employee data flows between Workday and UKG (Dimensions / UltiPro) to guarantee seamless system integration.

High-Volume Data Entry: Execute high-volume new hire data entries

Indirect Vendor Management: Support HRIS administration with a focus on indirect vendor onboarding, tracking, and auditing.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize payroll and onboarding workflows, enhance system efficiency, and update SOP documentation.

Tier 1 & Tier 2 Support: Act as a primary point of contact for employee, internal HR, and Shared Services inquiries regarding payroll and onboarding.

Ticketing & Escalation: Submit and track support tickets with Shared Services, escalating complex issues when necessary to ensure swift resolution.
