Eng Spec, VRT Co-Lead / Quality Process Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you support VRT with statistical process control and data analysis to drive quality across manufacturing. You participate in periodic job observations and maintain data accuracy for quality reviews. You lead continuous improvement through QMS tools, lean initiatives and root-cause analysis, shaping Ford’s global product development and manufacturing excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce variability and improve first-pass yields, contributing to Ford’s mission of delivering high-quality mobility solutions. Compensation / Benefits * Support VRT with statistical process control and data analysis * Participate with VRT to conduct periodic job observations and report completion * Provide external and internal data checks for quality reviews * Maintain health chart schedule and assessments * Review quality leadership system charts for data accuracy and binning * Perform subsystem checks as required * Verify data entry into web-based data management * Assemble acceptance criteria visual aids for the VRT * Maintain cycle line layout indicator mapping with VRT * Update and maintain the Quality Confirmation Map * Apply quality principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes and products * Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce inventory * Lead role in resolving assembly-related concerns * Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices * Implement interim and permanent corrective actions using 8D tool and 6 panel Tasks * Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field * 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation * 1 year of experience with Six Sigma tools (5WHY or 8-D) * 1 year of experience with Core tools (Control plan and PFMEA) * 1 year of experience with Ergonomic tools (MODAPTS or 3-D printing) * 1 year of experience with Error proofing tools (Sensors and Vision Systems) * 1 year of experience with DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology * 1 year of experience leading cross-functional VRT teams and PAC paper reviews Key requirements * medical, dental, and prescription drug coverage * flexible family care * tuition assistance * vehicle discount program * paid time off * paid holidays
