The Department of Revenue, Administrative Services Division is recruiting for an IT Manager 3 in Juneau!
This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide senior-level leadership and administrative oversight of all Department of Revenue IT teams, systems, and business functions, ensuring technology support meets the missions and operational needs of each division within the department.
- Direct department-wide IT operations by managing governance frameworks, project management activities, infrastructure, and applications to ensure reliable and secure daily performance of the department’s technology environment.
- Lead multi-division coordination to unify IT standards, practices, solutions, and departmental work products while adhering to statewide IT policies.
- Spearhead department-wide efforts to modernize technology, strengthen operational efficiency, and improve IT services using data-driven evaluation, performance monitoring, and the application of industry-standard best practices.
- Foster a culture that encourages open communication, shared learning, and professional advancement across all IT units within the Department.
- We have a strong preference for candidates with demonstrated experience navigating large-scale organizations through complex IT operational challenges and modernization initiatives. Additionally, this role requires daily collaboration on high-impact technology priorities across multiple channels, including but not limited to executive leadership, auditors, OIT, and federal partners.

Training in information technology, or a similar field, and progressively responsible professional experience that included prior supervisory responsibility and developed expertise in one or more IT functions and the provision of IT services to business and/or public users.
