Job description
This role owns full lifecycle project delivery from planning and preconstruction through construction and closeout, managing project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans. The Project Manager coordinates utility relocation across water, sewer, stormwater, gas, electric, and telecom systems, and directs consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and inspection teams. Responsibilities include managing change orders, pay applications, claims, and contract administration, along with building and maintaining relationships with FDOT, municipalities, counties, and utility owners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 7 to 10 or more years of experience managing large infrastructure, roadway, utility, or transportation projects
- Working knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, and permitting
- Strong grounding in MOT, drainage, earthwork, paving, and bridge coordination
- Experience with GMP, design build, or CMAR delivery methods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, and Bluebeam, * FDOT Advanced MOT certification
- PMP certification
- Experience working directly with municipalities, counties, and state transportation agencies
