Job description

NovoaGlobal is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to support the deployment and operation of transportation technology and public safety infrastructure projects throughout Florida and the USA. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in project management, construction coordination, permitting, utility coordination, roadway infrastructure, and municipal client relations, leading to a Project Manager position

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, the technical service team, contractors, engineers, utility companies, municipalities, and state agencies to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This position is ideal for an individual seeking to build a long-term career in transportation infrastructure, traffic engineering, construction management, or public sector project management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing transportation and infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
  • Coordinate project schedules, milestones, technicians, and contractor activities.
  • Track permitting requirements and approvals with local agencies and DOTs.
  • Coordinate utility locates, utility company activities, and roadway access requirements.
  • Monitor construction progress and maintain project documentation.
  • Conduct field visits to project locations as needed.
  • Assist with contractor procurement, scheduling, and performance monitoring.
  • Prepare project status reports, meeting minutes, and client communications.
  • Support inventory, equipment deployment, and site readiness activities.
  • Coordinate with electrical contractors, civil engineers, and municipal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, permit conditions, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate and schedule tech services for installation and maintenance purposes
  • Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and change-order tracking.completion.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Customer communication?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2-5 years of experience in construction, civil infrastructure, utilities, transportation, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience with roadway, traffic signal, ITS, utility, or public works projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and municipal project coordination.
  • Experience reading construction plans and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of FDOT, municipal, or transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Experience using project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools., * Ability to conduct occasional field inspections.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and meetings.
  • Ability to work both in an office environment and outdoors at active project locations.
