Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Network Engineer - II to join our innovative IT team. In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and security across our organization. Your expertise will support our growing data center operations, cloud integrations, and enterprise network systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the stability and scalability of our global network environment., * Design, configure, and optimize wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), and data center networking solutions to meet organizational needs.
- Manage and troubleshoot network hardware including Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment, and other network appliances.
- Implement and maintain security protocols such as Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), VPN configurations, firewalls, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and network access controls.
- Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, or Splunk; perform vulnerability assessments; and execute necessary adjustments for high availability and load balancing.
- Support network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, IPsec VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and QoS policies to ensure robust data transmission.
- Conduct system administration tasks on various operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), Solaris, BSD variants; automate tasks with scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network installation projects; perform equipment troubleshooting; support remote access software; and assist in disaster recovery planning for IT infrastructure resilience.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), network switching, VLANs, load balancing, and high availability architectures.
- Proficiency with Cisco networking hardware (routers, switches), Cisco ASA firewalls, Meraki cloud-managed devices; Juniper networks experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of network security practices including VPN management (IPsec & SSL VPNs), firewall configuration, Cisco ISE deployment, LDAP/Active Directory integration, and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Experience with cloud security platforms such as AWS or Azure; familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Citrix is advantageous.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues involving Cisco IOS/NX-OS firmware; perform system design for scalable enterprise networks; utilize scripting for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems including VoIP protocols; experience with SDLC processes for network project implementation.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly; ability to work in an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
